You’re a stranger passing by, and I’m just strange and passing time. And though I could never deal with you and your sanity — or anyone else’s — I’d marry you in my mind until someone else’s reality begins and ushers in the divorce. And such is my relationship with the human condition; extremes in the privacy of my being, contrasted to the barren landscapes in the land they walk on.

Fashion Killer // My newest murder weapons.

Limitless.

The truth is, most days I have this need so deep within me to be everything all at once. I yearn to be people of all walks of life and variations. I want to be the sun and the stars and the mountainside. A tree growing alone in the middle of a field. A flower among many. Sometimes, though, I can settle for being me. And so when I must be me, I turn myself into everything I dream of. I can be the sun, radiating and warm. I can find beauty in all of my fellow people who walk with me on this planet we call our home. I can be the stars, shy and shining only when in my element. I can be a mountainside, purposeful and grounded. I can be an isolated tree, unafraid of branching out even when others do not follow. I can be one flower in a blooming garden, at one with all those around me — unafraid of being one of many, knowing each of us has a purpose all equally as great as the next. I become what I’ve always wanted: limitless.

FACES OF THE FUTURE.
It’s a new year, and I know all of you have been growing on the inside and out, so I want to see what all of YOU look like nowadays. Reply to this post with a recent photo of yourself so I can see all my beautiful Misfits fitting out & my Little Stars shining.

Emotional is a Number; Fourteen, Revisited:

sitting in another apartment
typical white walls, devoid
of anything hinting at
permanence

bipolar friend and her daddy
like her emotional stability
absent as usual

“why don’t we invite
some people over?” she
asks, tweaking her reflection
mirroring my need
for more

so the booze
the boys
and the girls arrived
each of them preying
on like-minded prey
predators of the night

one more sip for beauty
grey in technicolor hues
me
just laughing, socializing
with everyone, belonging
to all but never to one

one girl topless
understands bodies like me
flesh exposed without the sex
innocent, like the flower
pinned down in her hair

hippie hearts, elven children
cuddle on the bunk-bed
lower level, secure
so we don’t fall off
people above us, anxiety
that we’ll be crushed

inside of this steel cage
bi-polar friend’s prey
stumbles over to me
like a rabbit ensnared
tells me he’s never seen
someone like me before
and so wants a kiss

curious is a feline’s purr
interrupted by hissing
during the same touch

“go, be with her” i reject
angry at his assumptions
so like everyone else’s
flattered by his urges
carnal like the ego

bi-polar friend
claws inside, manic with rage
“how could you steal
my date tonight?”
and so I console her, tell her
of bi and polar truth

and of this, reputations
are built
ones that tell
of people who do not kiss
but tell, turning humans
into beasts, and creatures
who pose as teens
tethered to this Earth
